FGI-106
Small Molecule Inhibitor of HIV and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)
The FGI-106 program is developing a small molecule with broad-spectrum antiviral activity. The lead candidate demonstrates potent inhibition of infections by HIV and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). This product also can protect subjects from a lethal challenge with Ebola virus.
FGI-106 Inhibition of HIV. Cell-based assays were conducted to evaluate HIV propagation in the presence of FGI-106.
FGI-106 Inhibition of HCV. Cell-based assays were conducted to evaluate HCV propagation in the presence of FGI-106.
Shown is an experiment demonstrating protection of mice from an otherwise lethal dose of Ebola virus. The blue triangles demonstrate that treatment with FGI-106 prevents animal death caused by Ebola virus.
