FGI has developed a novel approach to identify host cell targets that are essential for viral pathogens but which can be safely targeted to preclude damage to normal cells. This novel strategy emphasizes safety while effectively blocking viral propagation. The Company has multiple peer-reviewed publications, which demonstrate that these these targets can be exploited to develop antiviral agents with broad-based activity against multiple viruses, including HIV, RSV, HBV, HCV and Herpes viruses.
The Company has also demonstrated that it is unlikely that viral pathogens will be capable of developing resistance to our products.
